IT Cloud Services Engineer
Position Summary:
As an IT Cloud Services Engineer, reporting to the Director of Information Technology, you will be part of a team responsible for the performance, stability, and operations of the Company’s cloud services. This includes designing, developing, and managing cloud-based solutions; optimizing cloud infrastructure, ensuring data security, and supporting seamless operations. This person will support and augment the current information technologies team and will play a key hands-on role.

Responsibilities:
- Establishes, complies with, enforces, and actively promotes all corporate safety policies and procedures in addition to ensuring adherence to our number one core value – Safety first in all we do.
- Perform day to day administration to ensure performance, stability, and capacity of cloud-based systems.
- Define, procure, and implement Microsoft 365 solutions aligned with company standards.
- Ensure license compliance, optimizing costs and benefits while identifying opportunities for consolidation or upgrades.
- Develop and maintain cloud solutions aligned with company objectives.
- Deploy new applications to the cloud. Migrate existing applications from on-premises infrastructure to the cloud.
- Optimize resources to ensure cost-effectiveness.
- Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards.
- Assist with defining, procuring, and implementing IT infrastructure, support, and services consistent with Company standards & guidelines.
- Identify, coordinate, and communicate resource requirements to support cloud technologies.
- Lead and support efforts related to data center consolidations and cloud-first strategy.
- Provide L2/3 support for the end-user computing environment and assist during major initiatives and high-ticket volumes.
- Monitor, plan, and coordinate the distribution of software, policies, hotfixes, security patches, and service packs.
- Create and maintain technical documentation and drive process improvement with standard operating procedures.
- Mentor service desk staff, promote a strong team environment and knowledge sharing
- On-call support during non-standard business hours as needed
- A limited amount of travel may be required.
Qualifications:
BS/BA in computer science, engineering, or relevant field; or equivalent job experience
Experience: 5+ years of system, cloud, and support experience in IT
Knowledge of Windows Servers, Microsoft O365, Entra ID, Azure, Intune and Defender required
Base knowledge of Windows domains, Group Policy Objects, Active Directory
Familiarity with VMware and Meraki a plus
Experience in analysis, implementation, and evaluation of IT systems and their specifications
Sound understanding of computer systems (hardware/software), networks, etc., including cloud concepts (e.g., PaaS, SaaS, IaaS)
Familiarity with construction industry-specific technologies, systems, and concepts a plus
